Our friends at Hermon Family Health Care gave us a check for $50.00. They have known Devin his whole life, diagnosed Devin and remain our family doctor.
I met a wonderful woman at the St. Lawrence County Fair named Amy Tressider and she was running for State Senate. She gave us a check for Devin's walk collection of $50 after she heard that the toy handcuffs on Devin would stay there until he raised $100 as a fundraising effort. We will do just about anything to raised money for JDRF! Thank Heaven there are people who will help us when we do. I dropped off a letter and poster at Kinney Drugs Inc. office and wasn't expecting a response. (Sadly that is how it usually goes when the letter is left with the wrong person). So when I got a call from Mark Brackett from Kinney Drugs Foundation that he was going to donate $500 and was excited about getting more of the Kinney Drugs family involved, I whooped! (Not while on the phone but right after I hung up). People who donate cannot know how happy it makes the people who are trying to raise money to save lives. It shows that there are still some people who care in the world. That gives us hope ! Right now hope for the cure is all we really have. And we'll take it
